Soerya TenggelamSoerya, or Surya, comes from Sanskrit meaning the sun.
Tenggelam in Indonesian means to sink or set, like the sun disappearing beneath the horizon.
Together, Soerya Tenggelam can be read as the setting sun.

The Philosophy
The setting sun is a quiet balance between presence and retreat. In the language of yin and yang, it exists in the in-between where the dark yields to the light in harmony. Light that understands darkness, and darkness that cannot exist without light.I created Soerya Tenggelam as a space to write for my current favorite OTP 🤍🖤, a pairing I see as a living embodiment of yin and yang. Two opposing forces drawn together ro exist in balance. The name was also inspired by an Indonesian song titled “Kala Sang Surya Tenggelam”.
It’s a really beautiful song, and I’m especially fond of the version used as the Indonesian N*tflix series Cigarrete Girl OST. I highly recommend giving it a listen.
